Because of his clear and obvious involvement in that insurrection, and because of the 14th Amendment section 3 of the U.S. Constitution, Trump is not expected to be able to hold public office in the U.S. again if the U.S. Constitution is to remain supreme law of the land (Refer to the statements of Judge J. Michael Luddig and Harvard Constitutional Law Professor Emeritus, Lawrence Tribe, for an elaboration of these details).
